What are you waiting for? Let's begin!
Bara News 🌍
Meet Chewy, the adorable capybara ambassador at Wildlife World Zoo, Arizona, USA.
He was born a year ago, and by overcoming health challenges, this HeroBara thrives on love and attention.
Wildlife World Zoo offers private encounters with Chewy, where you can get up close and personal with this gentle giant by signing up on the zoo's website.
As a herbivore, Chewy enjoys carrots and grass, but his absolute favorite treat is Cheerios (whose isn’t 😍).
Despite looking like a giant guinea pig at 55lbs (25kg), capybaras can grow up to a fascinating 150lbs (~70kg), making Chewy the perfect representative for these magnetic rodents.

Bara Fact 🧠
Capybaras are sociable creatures!
They purr, bark, grunt, whistle, squeal, cackle, whine, and yes, they even can teeth-chattering, depending on what's on their minds.
It's not simply random noise; each sound made by a capybara has a specific significance.
These vocal exchanges between capybaras serve as essential for building social relationships and organizing group activity.
When you hear them speaking, it might be warning the group of possible predators, announcing the protection of their offspring, or just a quarrel over food or a female.
Bara Adventure 🚀
Continuing with Japan!
This week, we are visiting Shizuoka Prefecture's Izu Shaboten Zoo as charming capybaras celebrate 40 years of lying in soothing hot waters!
This touching custom began when a most caring zookeeper saw capybaras gathering in warm waters during yard maintenance.
The waters, which are enriched with unusual materials such as rose petals and yuzu, provide not only warmth but also great picture-worthy moments (a lot of moments 🤭).
Also, don't miss out on the zoo's unique animals, which include around 140 species, and the five cactus gardens, which hold 1500 cacti (wow!) from across the world.
